Scrounge · Last updated 5 September 2026
Scrounge has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing about you is collected, stored or sold. The app is not able to identify you, because it never asks who you are.
Only your search terms and filters -- city, category, price range, keywords -- sent directly to Craigslist's own public search API (or, on the web, relayed through our Cloudflare Worker to work around browser CORS restrictions). No account, no device fingerprint, no location beyond the city you typed, no history of past searches.
Nothing on any server. Search results are fetched fresh each time and never stored. Listings you star as saved, and your last-used city and filters, are stored on your device only (localStorage on web, on-device storage on iOS/macOS), and are removed when you delete the app or clear site data.
Craigslist receives your search terms when a request reaches its API, and handles that request under its own privacy policy. Opening a listing to reply takes you to Craigslist's own site. Scrounge shares nothing with them beyond the search itself.
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
